THAT OLD MAN SMELL

.
IT'S THE STENCH OF DESPERATION

CORRUPT, INCOMPETENT PALIN HAS THAT ODOR NOW, TOO

MCCAINdiaper That Old Man Smell Of Desperation copyright 2008 Cosanostradamus blog me no blogs

It's Very Unpleasant, The Republican Aroma Of Abject Failure. It Smells Like . . . Bush.

As John Sidney "POW" McCain III slowly sinks into the political abyss, his overweaningly ambitious running mate makes one last frenzied attempt to claw her way to the top. Promised a virtual or actual Presidency if she can just salvage the wreck of McSame's campaign, airhead Sarah Palin is now resorting to outright smears based on bald-faced lies.
.

.
Still, McBush has already conceded Michigan, and Pennsylvania may be next: Poor old broke-down John "My Wife's A 'C*nt' " McCain has pulled out of the Republican-depressed Automobile State. The poor old guy went to hide in Iowa rather than show his cancerous face in the anxious blue-collar Steel State. He's trailing even in GOP-subverted Florida. McSame may lose formerly reliable-racist Republican Virginia. Can Indiana and Ohio be far behind?

The Repukelickin Party, terrified of losing its' death-grip on power, is going straight to its' last resort: The Party of Greed and Anger, is switching gears to its' old fallbacks, Hatred and Fear. "Obama is not like us" (he's black!), "Obama hates America" (HE'S BLACK!!), "Obama pals around with bad men from the Big City" (HE'S BLAAAAACK!!!). Did they mention that Barack is black? Not yet, not explicitly. They're cowardly little racist, race-baiting *ssholes; always have been. But their message has always been the same: "Law & order," "Welfare queens," "Willie Horton," et cetera, ad nauseum, always meant "We'll keep the 'n*ggers' down for ya, Bubba!" and absolutely nothing more. It's code that even right-wing morons can understand.

This year, not without trepidation, the Democrats have shown the courage and strength of character to confront racism head on, and nominate a man of African ancestry to be our next President. The Republicans, meanwhile, have shown their true colors by nominating two extremely white people, both known for their anti-African-American sentiments. McCain played the "maverick" by opposing the institution of the Federal Holiday honoring martyred moderate black leader Dr. Martin Luthor King Jr. Sarah Palin was deliberately chosen, it is now obvious, for being the living embodiment of redneck ignorance, and white-State prejudice. (Oh, and the "c*nt vote." Since McCain thinks all women are "c*nts," he must figure having a real "c*nt" on the ticket will get their votes.)

The Repukelickin' candidates are cowardly and without a shred of real character. McCain betrayed his country by collaborating with the enemy in North Vietnamese communist propaganda during the Vietnam War. When he came home from Nam, McSame dumped the crippled wife who had waited faithfully for him for five long lonely years, and flitted off with a rich drug-addicted beer queen. McCain's new wife Cindy was then busted for stealing drugs from poor, sick children. McCain himself narrowly escaped indictment during the Savings & Loan scandal. What character!

Palin flies her whole family around the country at taxpayer expense, and collects thousands in per diem for sleeping in her own bed. She fired a respected Alaska State Police commander when he refused to fire her sister's ex-husband, a decorated State Trooper. Now she doesn't dare show her face in Alaska, and the national Republican Party organisation of John McBush is running Alaska in her absence, trying to supress the investigation of "Troopergate." Let's not even talk about her under-aged, unmarried, unsafe-sexually-active daughter, or the infant Governor Palin starved in her own womb, trying to hide her own recent pregnancy. The child was born retarded, and now she uses him to gain sympathy at every campaign stop. Doesn't she worry about his health at all? Or his dignity? Or ours?

As to hating America, and terrorism: Palin wants Alaska to secede from the Union, and break up our great nation. She keeps talking about the Russians, her "neighbors": Maybe she wants to join them? Unlike most Americans she's wallowing in oil money, overjoyed at the high prices. Maybe the Rooskies will offer her a better deal. Traitor? You be the judge.

McCain has voted against going after Osama Bin Laden, and has done nothing to protect us from 9/11's past, present or future. He's so rich and out of touch, he doesn't even know how many houses he owns. And, of course, he could be a "Manchurian Candidate," programmed by the Communists to destroy America from inside the Oval Office. And none dare call it treason?

I guess McPalin fears that all this will come out in the next few weeks. After all, that's how they play the game. So far, Obama has chosen to take the high road. But it's time for the rest of us to give the Repuke's a taste of their own foul medicine. In their case, the truth about them will suffice.

Four, eight, sixteen more years of war and oppression, crises and recessions? The Iraq fiasco is not enough for McCain. He wants another one in Iran, immediately. And Sarah Palin is ready to go to war with Russia over Georgia, Ukrania, or maybe those imaginary Rooskie air-sorties over the Republic of Alyeska (which she and her husband want to "liberate" from "american tyranny").

Don't believe me? Read it & weep:

"McCain Sings Bomb Iran, laughs"

"War with Russia? Palin Talks Foreign Policy with ABC"

"Campaign tries to explain Palin's Putin comment"

"Palin's pals in the Alaska Independence Party had ties to terrorist state Iran. Yes, Iran. The country that wants to wipe Israel off the map. "

Blue Star Vice Presidential Candidates

(Cross posted from Gold Star Mom Speaks Out)

Dear Governor Palin & Senator Biden-

I know you are busy getting ready for the first and only vice-presidential debate of the 2008 presidential campaign. I'm sure you've both been practicing your debate skills, figuring out what temperament to show, running through the issues in your mind hoping to remember that factoid that will be the perfect comeback, the line that will go viral. I'm sure Gwen Ifil will ask questions about the economy, foreign policy, health care, maybe climate change, maybe energy, maybe choice, maybe event lipsticks or pigs. All those subjects, except pigs & lipstick, are important to let people get to know how you feel about those subjects, and as Vice President, how you would deal with them once in office. I'm guessing January is looming pretty large; the challenges, the opportunities to put your special mark on the fabric of our country. Vice President Palin? Vice President Biden? Just the sound of it is HUGE! Only 46 men in this country have been given that title.

What I really want you to talk about is foreign policy as it relates to the military. When I say military, I mean the troops; you know like Beau and Track and my son Ken, the men (and women) who make up the military. Beau, Track and Ken are our oldest sons, and in my case my only son, my only child.

Sarah, my son Ken, was 18 when he joined the military, just a year younger than Track, so I can relate to what you are going through. Your firstborn, leaving the nest to join the Army. Those are tough days; you worry about how they are doing during boot camp, how they will adapt. Back in 1995, Ken got orders for Bosnia shortly out of boot camp, and now your Track is heading to Iraq, so I really have walked in your shoes. Ken was 24 when he headed for Iraq and I was terrified every single one of those 384 days he was deployed. You cannot imagine how the war will take over your life when your child is on the front lines. That child that grew for 9 months in your womb now belongs to someone else and he's halfway around the world in harms way.

And Joe, your son Captain Beau Biden is being deployed later this week as far as I can tell. I know about operational security, so the date isn't really important, but he will miss sharing the excitement of the final days of this important presidential campaign. I suspect he's been pretty involved in your campaign and all of that will change with this deployment. I'm sure that you have a close relationship with your son as I did; it's just that way with single parent children. At the age of 39, Beau's a bit older than Ken was when he deployed, and as officers, life in Iraq is a little different. Beau leaves a lovely wife and 2 children at home, Natalie, age 4, and Hunter, age 2. They will miss their daddy terribly. 1 year separated from their daddy is a very long time to little ones like your grandchildren, Joe.

Now that I've shown you how this troop thing is personal, and an experience that we all share, you might see how the occupation in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan loom large in the lives of military families. Some may think our children are "deployable assets" and that they belong to the military, and while that is true, they will always be our little boys. Our sons grew up to serve their country, to stand up when called and we are so proud of the men they grew up to be.

Sarah & Joe, today you are Blue Star Families, those with a loved one serving in the military. On May 30, 2004, my son, Lt Ken Ballard was killed in Iraq and I became a Gold Star Mother. It is not a journey that I wish on anyone.

I don't want either of you to wear a black metal bracelet engraved with your child's name, rank, unit, date & place of death and the words OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. I also don't want you to replace that blue star on your service flag with one of gold; I don't want another parent to receive a Gold Star Banner. I don't want you to know the reality of receiving that one knock on the door that will change your life forever. I really don't want you to know what it feels like to be escorted to the airport by your local police department and when you see that jet pull up to the gate and the doors of the cargo department open up to reveal a coffin that contains the remains of your oldest child, covered with a red, white and blue American flag, you know your child has made his last journey home. I don't want you to listen to the mournful notes as TAPS is played by an Army bugler in honor of your son's life. I don't want you to receive a folded flag from a general with the words "on behalf of a grateful nation...", I don't want you to know the emptiness in your heart knowing you will never feel your child's hug, never hear his laugh and never know what heights he might have attained. I don't wish any of this on anyone. Never. Ever.

Sarah & Joe, you both have a unique position as a military parent that very few people in this country understand; please use that experience and make a commitment to all the troops and their families that your administration will stop the shameless treatment of vets. Vow that war will only be used as a solution of last resort. I urge you both, as military parents, during this vice-presidential debate, to commit to ending the war in Iraq, bring the troops home and take care of them when they get here.

WAR WITH SARAH

.
EXACTLY HOW IGNORANT IS OUR SARAH?

ABOUT THE SAME AS DUBYA. AND JUST AS READY FOR WAR. ANY WAR.

"Miss Teen USA 2007 - South Carolina answers a question"

Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, China, Palin's Ready To Fight 'Em All

Unfortunately, she has no clue about the situation with any of these countries. Unfortunately for us McCain will be almost certainly be dead within a year. Look what the job did to far younger men. He seems to be relieved that he doesn't have to really run or prepare or pretend to be the President now that Governor Barracuda has stepped into his tired old shoes. All she had to say was: "WOW! WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY!"
.

Unfortunately, the 'Cuda just ain't up to the job. (She couldn't even handle college on the Big Island of Hawaii, at lame-o rich kid tanning university HPU.) Being Commander in Chief of the planet's most deadly military machine, and enforcer for its' increasingly monstrous economy, the job of President of the United States of America, the richest and most powerful country in the history of the world, is a teeny bit more complicated than following orders from the oil companies and the Alaska Republican Party (population 100,000) while skinning a moose.

Unfortunately, the job requires that you take an interest in economic, trade, diplomatic and military strategy and tactics. It's not enough to be able to say, like a precocious five year old, "Oh, Russia, I know where that country is! It's right over there!" You have to know what it means to be playing chicken with them in the Black Sea, and now the Caribbean. It's not enough to be able to parrot the notions, "Bush good," and "terrorism bad."

Unfortunately for Sarah, and the world, you have to actually know what the so-called Bush Doctrine (more like a cocktail napkin) did to warp and wreck our military and foreign policy in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, Israel and Turkey, Poland and Georgia, North Korea and Burma. You have to read a few headlines, and maybe even a couple of paragraphs of the news stories that they put under them sometimes. You know, the wordy things next to the pictures? Or maybe you could even read one of those book thingies they used to have in the lieberry before you closed it down and burned all the books, in your dreams.

Unfortunately, this will all come out when Joe Biden debates Sarah Palin on national TV. Unless, as usual, they have one of those softball not-hardly-in-the-same-room affairs where no one actually says anything for a whole hour or more. If they did get to exchange ideas, once she ran out of "zingers" and pat phrases, Palin would be easy pickins for Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Biden. She could barely handle herself with warm and fuzzy Good Morning America eunuch Charlie Gibson. She kept calling him "CHAR-lie," like a first-year kindergarten teacher trying to control her class, and her anger at her class.

Unfortunately, the Repukelickin's have run raw rank incompetents and arrant fools for high office before. In fact, that's what they usually run. And they win. Stupid people love 'em, smart people get too disgusted to vote. But this time, the even lamer half of the ticket has the background of a bowling champion, and she WILL have to do the Biggest Job In The World for real in a matter of months. She crows arrogantly that she's ready for it. "Never batted an eye" when McCain asked her to run with him. That's her idea of wise consideration of complex problems fraught with danger: Never bat an eye. What's the female equivalent of ignorant stupid macho bravado? Macho bitcho?

Unfortunately, we may be about to find out. The illiterate beauty queen's "moose in the headlights" act may not play so well when she tries it on Hu or Putin, Kim or Khamenei. And they will come a-knockin' soon as McCain croaks. They're right next door, dontchya know?

THE NATION
"Palin Channels Cheney's 9/11-Iraq Falsehoods"

' When everyone's attention was focusing on Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's less-than-reassuring interview about foreign policy with ABC News anchor Charlie Gibson, the Republican nominee for vice president was off delivering a speech in which she suggested a dramatically greater ignorance of recent history and international affairs than was on display in the interview. Speaking at Alaska's Fort Wainwright on Thursday, where she hailed the combat deployment of her son's Army unit to Iraq as a "righteous cause," Palin explicitly and repeatedly renewed the discredited claim that the invasion and occupation of Iraq was initiated as a necessary and credible response to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
